  • Artist: Benjamin Arnot

    Benjamin Arnot

Born in Montreal and raised in London, Benjamin Arnot is an avid traveler with an international flair for aesthetic. He worked as a successful graphic artist before awakening his dream of becoming a full-time painter. Since then, he has searched the globe for inspiration, intrigue, and in his travels, he has collected souvenirs like a wide spectrum of different cultural and artistic elements that he has integrated into his paintings. He sees himself as a modern expressionist, modeling his work on a movement that incorporates "visions of aesthetic perfection translated to canvas." A modern sensibility and bold composition give his paintings a universal appeal. A penchant for discovering a world of uncompromised beauty has given Arnot a peerless perspective.

  • Artwork Details

Benjamin's recent work includes several series of paintings in which he presents familiar objects in both conflict and harmony to impart a greater truth about whom we are as denizens of this particular space and time. Evolved from a desire to append the human narrative, as well as a response to the constant visual stimulus of the modern world, these open-ended narrative paintings become forged reflections of perception. They transform the world around us into a series of bright visual hieroglyphs and invite us to explore our odd and constant obsession of iconography and precious objects.
