Born in Seattle, Washington, Jane Bellows worked as a photographer before merging her photography talents with her desire for painting. She began painting abstracts, experimenting with forms, lines, and space, bringing lighting and perspective influences into her florals and landscapes. Today, she flourishes in several different media, but favors acrylics for its textual quality. Her work can be found in both private and corporate collections.

By Chance III by Jane Bellows is as once refined in its aesthetic composition as well as playful and whimsical. The bright blues and jaunty yellows bring the painting to life, and are sure to bring a pop of energy to any room in your world. The dramatic lines in the upper register of the painting, however, remind the viewer of the fact that even though this painting is full and pleasurable to look at, it is also the work of a highly talented and painterly artist. A print on canvas will do justice to Bellows’ fine textures and rich tones.
