Wilkerson has studied watercolor, pastels, drawing, and sculpture before choosing oils as her primary medium. For inspiration, she takes painting trips to places such as Spain, France, Belgium, Italy, Mexico, Colorado, and New Mexico, which give her art a sense of place, and a sense of style. "Waking up in the morning knowing you are going to spend the day in a beautiful setting doing something you love is a wonderful feeling," says Wilkerson. She is a fine artist and a fine humanitarian. Wilkerson has contributed many works to charitable causes, and is especially active with the Helping Hand Home for Children.
