Inspired by Italian master, Amadeo Modigliani, Sosa's first paintings were creative adaptations of his most famous works. Today, she draws inspiration from the people she meets in her life and travels. Her portraits carry her own sense of style, color, and stroke, with a duality that is both traditional and modern. "Portraiture is back," Sosa says, "and so is figurative work. The fun part is making it contemporary, making it relevant to 21st century lives and spaces."
