A true daughter of the South, Betty spent her childhood riding horses on the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina. To her, art is child's play. In places like Peru and South America, she explored materials like wax, tar, found street signs, to create works of art that look as if preserved from a wall in a foreign land. Vibrant colors dance, giving a three-dimensional feel to her urban approach. Betty has had solo exhibitions at Studio Oliver, the Crescent Room, and the Avalon Gallery in Orlando, Florida. She presently has works at the Momus Gallery in the Tula Arts Center in Atlanta. Her work can also be found in many private, public, and corporate collections throughout the United States.
