Many customers ask the same questions — we've got a handy list of answers.
How do I change or cancel my order?
Contact our Customer Care Desk at 888-445-3236, Monday-Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, CST. All of our artwork is made to order once you submit your order online. Orders already in printing will be assessed a 50% restocking fee, and orders already assembled cannot be cancelled. Unfortunately, we are unable to add items to your order or substitute items. You will need to place a new order.
How does custom sizing work?
We know it can be frustrating when the piece of art you love does not fit perfectly in your space, so we’ve eliminated that frustration by adding back custom sizing.
- After making an artwork selection, click on the “Custom” size button.
- Enter your desired dimensions by altering either the height OR width you desire, and our system will calculate the overall dimension for you.
- Only one measurement is needed because we honor the original proportions of the artist's work.
Will you honor a promotion that just ran or coupon code that recently expired?
Gallery Direct offers great promotional deals on a regular basis. Due to the frequency, we will only honor a promotion or sales price at the time of purchase. We cannot honor previous promotions. Also-coupon codes must have a current valid date in order to use it on an order. Please note only one coupon can be used per order.
Am I ordering a giclée?
Giclée prints are part of the modern artisan tradition of fine art reproduction, which began in 1798 with lithography and includes serigraphy (silk screening), first patented in 1907. Giclée (pronounced "zhee-clay") is French for "spraying" of ink. This is a widely-used industry term, as you may already know. So, yes Gallery Direct reproduces framed wall art and canvas artwork as giclée prints on canvas or paper.
How do you work with the Artists?
We are committed to supporting working artists through our mission to bring their work to wider audiences. Our Art Director, Nick Nichols, works with professional artists whose work sells in galleries. To review art, Nick requires our artists to submit high quality images of current and past work with full captions, artist statement and a complete CV. We work directly with the artist to make it easy for you to access their artwork.
What is the difference between canvas wall art and framed wall art on paper?
With art on paper our archival inks sink richly into the paper giving the image warmth and depth. A giclée print on canvas is more vibrant and photo-like.
How are you different than the other guys?
We've built our reputation by discovering incredibly talented artists and making their work available exclusively to our customers. As a result, we are the largest limited edition fine art publisher, printmaker, and artisan framer in the world.
